Conditions of Boarding
All
dogs must be inoculated against Distemper, Hardpad , Leptospirosis and Parvovirus
infections. Inoculation against 'Kennel Cough
is strongly recommended.
Dogs
in need of veterinary attention will be treated by their own vets, or, if this is
difficult or not possible by the Kennel's own veterinary surgeons.
Dogs inoculated fully (including 'Kennel Cough') are treated without extra
cost for any infection contracted through their stay in the Kennel subject to consultation
with the Kennel's Veterinary Surgeons. The cost for treatment of endemic conditions (such
as Heart Disease) which may be first manifest while in the Kennel shall be the
responsibility of the owner.
The
Proprietor reserves the right to take whatever action thought fit to ensure the well-being
of boarders.
Should
any dog remain uncollected for four weeks after the agreed terminal date of its stay, the
proprietor reserves the right to assume ownership and take any action which they consider
reasonable.
Boarding
fees are payable on departure. Accounts of
long-term boarders are payable monthly.
In
addition to the above conditions, the following considerations are helpful.
Incoming
dogs should wear collars, with an identification disc. Leads, bowls and toys are not
wanted.
Admission
and collection should generally take place during business hours (8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on
weekdays and 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sundays) unless special arrangements are made. Dogs brought in daylight settle more readily than
those arriving after dark.
The
Proprietor should be told of any recent illness or of any characteristic of health or
habit which could give rise to concern.
